HMSA Taunton Family Programme Day @ St Andrews Church Hall,
Aug 15 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

1619080_978044682236062_2890790137327424531_nThe programme includes information for both adults and children. There will be information on the conditions the HMSA supports;

Joint Hypermobility syndrome,

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (all sub types),

Marfan syndrome,

Osteogenesis Imperfecta syndromes (all sub types),

Stickler syndrome,

Pseudoxanthoma Elasticum,

We do not support these conditions exclusively and will adapt the programme according to the conditions represented by those attending.

In addition, we will look at self-management, using services and working with medical professionals, using the HMSA to get the best out of your membership and how to campaign for better recognition in local services.

The children will have a separate programme working on their understanding, addressing their self-worth, and how to manage pain. Teens or mature older primary aged children will participate in some of the adult programme and have additional sessions with Jenny Parris, School Nurse and Education Development Coordinator for the HMSA, and with Donna Wicks, who is also a qualified healthcare professional in mental health and the CEO for the charity.

A light lunch will be provided and we will do our best to cater for any dietary needs.

There is a small cost to attend as the HMSA is too small to absorb the total cost of the event.

Details are on the booking form; available from info@hypermobility.org
